Job description:
We’re looking for a Technical Documentation Writer to join our team and translate complex technologies into clear, engaging, and accurate content. You’ll be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining internal and external documentation that supports both technical and non-technical users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write and maintain high-quality documentation, including:
- API references (RESTful/GraphQL);
- Integration guides for payment gateways and acquiring platforms;
- Integration guides for various API-First platforms;
- Internal technical procedures and architecture overviews;
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, business analysts and other experts to gather source material and validate technical accuracy.
- Own the documentation pipeline—platform, structure, style, formatting, versioning.
- Contribute to content strategy: define how documentation is created, published, and consumed across our systems.
- Conduct user research and gather feedback to improve clarity, usability, and completeness of content.
- Help build a documentation style guide and enforce consistency across all technical content.
Requirements:
- 3–6+ years of experience writing technical documentation for APIs, platforms, or software systems.
- Strong command of technical English and the ability to write clearly for both expert developers and business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger, Postman, markdown, static site generators (e.g., Docusaurus, Hugo, MkDocs), or similar tools.
- Basic knowledge of how APIs, webhooks, and data flows work—you don’t need to code, but you should be comfortable reading examples and specs.
- Comfortable working with Git and collaborating in cross-functional product teams.
Nice to have:
- Experience with tools like Confluence, Notion, or ReadMe.
- Experience in fintech, payments, or regulated industries.
- Background in UX writing, developer experience, or technical support.
- Familiarity with localization workflows and managing multi-language documentation.
