Job description
We are seeking an Azure Administrator to manage, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud resources while collaborating with teams to support and implement cloud-based solutions. This role ensures the optimal performance, availability, and security of Microsoft Azure environments in alignment with corporate requirements. The administrator will also contribute to projects implemented and hosted using Azure resources.
Responsibilities
- Azure Resource Management – Basic understanding of deploying, configuring, and managing Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, virtual networks, and databases. Monitor and maintain system health to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Cloud Security & Compliance – Configure and manage Azure security features such as security groups, firewalls, and role-based access control (RBAC). Monitor and respond to security alerts, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting – Set up monitoring and alerting using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics. Diagnose and resolve issues related to Azure services, networking, and cloud applications.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery – Configure, develop, and document disaster recovery procedures.
- Networking Configuration – Manage Azure networking components, including virtual networks, subnets, VPNs, and load balancers. Ensure connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments.
- Project Participation – Collaborate with internal teams to support projects implemented and hosted on Azure resources. Assist in the configuration, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of Azure-hosted solutions.
- Support & Collaboration – Provide technical guidance on Azure best practices. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless cloud deployments. Stay updated on new Azure features and services to enhance solutions.
- Hybrid AD Setup & Sync – Support and manage hybrid Active Directory (AD) environments, ensuring seamless synchronization between on-premises and cloud directories.
- Microsoft 365 Administration – Provide basic support and understanding of Microsoft 365 services, including user management, security policies, and collaboration tools.
- Dynamics 365 – Basic understanding of Dynamics 365 modules such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Financial Operations.
- Intune – Basic understanding of Microsoft Intune for device management and endpoint security.
- Fabric/Power BI – Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI for generating and managing reports.
- Power Platform – Basic knowledge of PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents for process automation and application development.
- Kubernetes – Fundamental understanding of container orchestration with Kubernetes for potential future implementations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration, including at least 1 year of hands-on Azure administration.
- Proficiency in managing Azure services such as compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Basic understanding of cloud networking concepts.
- Exposure to Microsoft 365 administration.
- Basic understanding of Dynamics 365, Intune, Power Platform, Power BI, Kubernetes, and Fabric.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues.
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and on-premises integration.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Eagerness to learn and stay current with evolving cloud technologies.
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
- Knowledge of Entra ID and Identity Access Management (IAM).
- Experience working with hybrid AD environments and cloud security best practices.
