The main areas of responsibility
As Export Manager, you will play an essential role in sales-related activities by providing complete, appropriate and most effective solutions for every customer, ensuring high quality, smooth, expeditious execution of orders on time. You will:
- Implement strategy on products and markets to ensure maximisation of growth opportunities;
- Identify market potential and new customer prospects to find growth opportunities;
- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with new and primary customers by regular calls and meetings, acquiring a thorough understanding of their needs and requirements;
- Pursue company sales targets within Central European countries (with a primary focus on Germany, Austria and Switzerland);
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques and shelf life;
- Attend exhibitions.
By ensuring the excellent customer service, we expect you will:
- Keep interested and follow the healthy foods category: track and monitor competitor positioning, advertising campaigns, new brands, new and popular ingredients, etc.;
- Have good knowledge of how the company receives and processes raw materials and what certificates it has, and be aware of the company’s strengths and strategic goals for the year;
- Travel locally and internationally to meet with potential customers, strengthen customer relationships, and visit customer facilities to review and take notes on operations.
The experience and qualifications you will need
- Excellent English language skills (both spoken and written);
- Proven track record of success in the sales cycle from plan to close with FMCG sector goods;
- Experience working with retail chains;
- Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and organisational skills;
- Self-motivated and proactive approach, customer and result-oriented mindset;
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills;
- Planning and problem-solving skills;
- Willing to travel abroad.
