No matter how or where merchants sell goods or services, PAYSTRAX helps to settle the payments as quickly, securely and cost-efficiently as possible. PAYSTRAX is a licensed Payment Institution as well as a principal member of both Visa and Mastercard. As the Company is expanding here in Lithuania and looking for a technical support specialist, we are looking forward to finding out whether it is YOU, who will join our ambitious team in Klaipėda or Vilnius, Lithuania.

Roles and main tasks:

  • Provide technical support to customers and internal teams by troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues (you will be working with ticketing system and solve issues via emails).
  • Read and analyze system logs to diagnose and resolve software and integration issues.
  • Understand and troubleshoot various communication protocols, including but not limited to HTTP, FTP, TCP/IP, JSON, and ISO8583.
  • Read and understand technical manuals and documentation to effectively resolve issues and provide guidance.
  • Use tools for API testing such as Postman and cURL to diagnose and resolve API-related issues.
  • Use SQL to analyze data and identify patterns for troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Collaborate with engineering and development teams to address and resolve technical problems.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of support issues, resolutions, and processes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of support processes and procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior support staff and customers as needed.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies to provide the best possible support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in English language.
  • Proven experience in a technical support role, preferably in a software or technology company would be an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of system logs and the ability to read and interpret them effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of various communication protocols such as HTTP, FTP, TCP/IP, JSON, and ISO8583.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and documentation.
  • Proficiency in using API testing tools such as Postman and cURL.
  • Strong SQL skills for analysing data and identifying patterns.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Nice to have

  • Experience with network troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is an advantage.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
