Description
We are looking for an experienced backend engineer to help build scalable and reliable systems for our IoT and energy platform. You will work with TypeScript, Python, PostgreSQL, and ClickHouse, and develop services that integrate Kafka and MQTT for high-throughput data ingestion. The system architecture includes REST, gRPC, and GraphQL interfaces.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs (REST / gRPC / GraphQL);
- Design scalable data models using PostgreSQL and ClickHouse;
- Integrate and process real-time data streams via MQTT and Kafka;
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and ensure production readiness;
- Participate in architecture and performance reviews;
- Mentor team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend development experience;
- Proficiency in TypeScript (Node.js) and/or Python;
- Strong experience with relational databases and ClickHouse;
- Knowledge of Kafka, MQTT, and message-driven architectures;
- Experience with Docker (Kubernetes is a plus);
- Focus on performance, security and reliability.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS;
- Domain knowledge in IoT or telemetry systems;
- Familiarity with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Sentry).
