Headhunting
How is headhunting performed?
Headhunting is used to find and attract Candidates who are considered talent in the labour market – employees with above-average talents and skills. Attracting talent requires more effort. Headhunting uses databases, contacts, social networks and not shying away from being assertive – while of course maintaining professionalism and politeness. Talent is contacted directly, the content of the message is personalised as much as possible, and every effort is made to attract the Candidate’s attention, interest and engagement.
Who benefits from headhunting?
Headhunting is most often used to find and attract experienced, highly skilled professionals and managers. Headhunting with external partners has the advantage of avoiding conflicts of interest or threats to the employer’s image by attracting talent from competing companies.
Emplonet works with the following positions:
- Managers of all departments;
- Experienced, highly qualified professionals;
- Entry-level professionals.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a headhunting and ordinary recruitment?
Headhunting as a form of recruitment is unique in that the employees it aims to attract are among the most desirable in the market, and are not actively looking for a new job themselves. In a headhunt, either the specific person wanted for a particular job is known or several such persons are selected, approached directly and an attempt is made to attract at least one of them. In a headhunt, it is particularly important that the recruiter has a very good understanding of the specifics of the job, the terminology and the key aspects of the Candidate being interviewed.
What are the terms of the headhunting process?
On average, we deliver our first Candidates within the 1st 1.5 weeks* of the selection process. The average search and selection time for highly skilled professionals is 1.5-2 months* before a selected Candidate is invited to join, 2-3 months* for IT specialists, and 2 months* for different level managers (*averages may vary depending on the complexity of the project).
